This morning I notice that I am half hungry for the crab leftovers from dinner last night but at the same time I'm borderline nauseated. Not in a big way, just on a low level.
SO. WEIRD. And annoying.
Forgot to say, at the birthday party on Friday I obviously couldn't have pizza so I ordered a meatball sandwich and ate one of the meatballs. It worked great for me, I took tiny bites but was still able to sit with everyone and eat. Someone else polished off the rest of the sandwich and I had a small slice of cake later. I was happy that I could feel like I was joining in the party without going overboard or, worse, trying to eat pizza and spending half the time in the bathroom throwing up.
The Hubs left for a three-day business trip, which will include a NASCAR-style driving course for all the firm's partners. The most senior partner has an adventure streak a mile long. Last year they went hot-air ballooning and whitewater rafting in Colorado Springs.
My husband is the least excitement-seeking person I've ever met in my life. He doesn't drink or gamble or dance (except with the kids). His one nonfamily hobby is playing bridge. I laugh every time I think about him driving a race car.
LOL ~ life isn't fair, is it? My hubby would give a testicle to get to drive a race car (well, not NASCAR, he likes something else - I always forget)!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you might be at your sweet spot! Go you!
That leftover crab would get me stuck. I typically don't do leftovers because the dryness of being in the fridge typically gets me. Hilarious story about your hubbie!!
ReplyDeleteI got my hubby the NASCAR driving experience at Daytona one year for his birthday. He loved it. Hopefully your hubby does too.
ReplyDeleteIf you're feeling nauseated, try something with some bubbles in it. Since the band, I really can't drink pop (sorry...you crazy Americans call it "soda" lol!), but sometimes if I'm feeling that ugh feeling, it actually helps me.
ReplyDeleteMy husband doing any wild and crazy adventure crap would worry me so much! I am an insane worrier (because I am an undertaker and I have seen how literally EVERYTHING can kill you). Tell him to be careful. My mantra. One day I said it to my son for like the millionth time, and he looked at me and very dryly said "good thing you told me that...I was planning on stepping out in front of a moving car, but since you said that I won't"
Sorry...can't offer advice on the "stuck" and "PB" thing because my first fill isn't until June 2nd. I think you've given me a topic for my next blog on this interim period between surgery and the first fill.
ReplyDeleteHope you've found your sweet spot girlfriend.
How cool is that to learn to drive a race car.. I would probably be pretty good with all of my speeding tickets.
ReplyDeleteHow about moving to soups for the day.. would that help.. soothing and filling..hope you feel better Kristin.. hugs
That is hilarious...I hope he enjoys it though
