I hear you. Did you read my post about replacing one thing with another? How about trying one night of replacing your sweet/ salty/ relaxo snack with: Cup of valerian or camomille or other tea-- add some REAL HONEY and live it up... (I like my tea creamy and sweet, it is a bit of a treat that way) And skip the snack. ONE NIGHT.
See how it goes. You can do anything ONCE.
You'll get there... glad you're noticing the habits that may be standing in your way. That is huge and will help you get where you want to go.
My problem is I can't stop at one glass of wine! So I stopped keeping it in the house unless I know I have friends coming. Last Friday my girlfriend and i polished off a bottle and it causes me to eat more and then I felt sick. Plus I log everything into My Fitness Pal - good or bad so I think twice before the 100 calories.
Night time relaxation is so hard to balance. There is nothing more I want than to "have another glass" after dinner is done. Ugh, now I really want to take a long, hot bath with a glass of wine. Is it wrong that it's only 10:30 am?! <3
Since I am at home all day, I've noticed the grazing has begun. Damn. Why are we like this? Why do we do this to ourselves when we KNOW...we KNOW that it's sabbotaging all the good work we've done? Arg. I guess that's not helpful...but I was feeling a little rant-y this morning. Blah.
A week ago right now, we were getting ready to go into NYC and have Cuban food. A week ago today I was having WAY more fun than I'm having right now. Miss you!
Yeah. Me too.
ReplyDeleteLOL.. I got my nuts (and M&M's) so I am with you sista
ReplyDeleteI'm working the wine right now. If there was a single morsel of chocolate in the house, it would be in my mouth. Sadly, nada.
ReplyDeleteI hear you.

This week has been a major blow out for me!
ReplyDeleteBut I will take your kinda snack anytime. Cheese and wine.
Lets blame someone. Or something. I need to.

ReplyDeleteYou're just not exhausted enough. LOL. I'm in bed by 8:30 and sound asleep by 9. It's how I keep the nighttime munchies away.
ReplyDeleteJust switch to the hard stuff. Less calories right? Or make it a wine spritzer. (Look at me talk as If I know anything! lol)

ReplyDeleteOh, and if my comment looked in the beginning like I was going to provide some sort of advice or suggestion - sorry... <3
