Is It Time for a Freak-Out?

I had a big eating day. Which can mean one of two things:

1. The unfill just kicked in and I don't have good restriction and I am going to wreak havoc with my pretty decent weight loss.
2. It's around the same time of the month that I typically see a surge in hunger and eating.

I think it's #2. Which means it should go away after a day or two. But so far today I've had:
B: zone bar
L: bean burrito (minus the tortilla) at local Mexican restaurant, plus 20 chips and salsa and about a tablespoon of guac
D: portobello gardenburger with 1 slice American cheese, tomato and mozzarella with balsamic vinegar

And frosting from a cupcake. Oh, and two (2) Cadbury Creme Eggs. They've been in my fridge for more than a week, untouched.

Ugh.

Also, I really need to start exercising. What a lazybones.

  1. Those big eating days scare me, too! I always wonder what is going on when I am so hungry...

  2. Ok. Except for the cadbury eggs I am concerned about my own diet if that is a big eating day for you. I could easy eat that plus a couple snacks. Sometimes I am really jealous of those of you who are satisfied with so little :) BTW - How are the gardenburgers?

  3. Hang in there baby doll...that food log doesn't look anything like the end of the world. Like you said...this should pass in a day or two.

  4. Hi Kristin,
I am willing to be that this is more related to #2. I am so confused about the band and restriction.. some days I am sliming my head off and other days I could literally eat a horse..what gives? I figure by the time I have my band for 5 years I will have it all figured out.

Hang in there, tomorrow is another day.. PS get rid of those cadbury eggs!!!!

  5. Ok, I have agree with TJ- that doesn't seem like a lot (not including the Cadbury eggs). I think it's hard when you've been overfilled because after awhile that seems normal. I was just asking myself if I needed fill and remembering when I couldn't finish a cup of soup at Nordstrom fondly (not healthy).
Other than the sweets that's pretty similar to what I eat everyday plus maybe a cheese stick. Don't be too hard on yourself-give it some time.

  7. Ugh...I hate when I feel like I've had one of those days. But really in the grand scheme of things...other than the egg, really not bad at all! What do you want to do to get active? Got any plans?

  10. It HAS to be hormones that do this to us? I know I also have a day where nothing I eat seems to fill me up. I usually charge my way through all manner of junk - wake up the next day and get back on track. It's odd for us girls. Bloody annoying too!

  11. I believe it is the hormones-- I've read about this and heard it directly from Dr. Ren: when you are getting your period, food just moves quicker through your system.
    Don't fret.
Focus on getting in lots of protein, and eat protein FIRST to cushion your blood sugar surges. Then just go through it and you will be back on track before you know it.
If you need a fill: can you go back soon?
Not sure how your practice works?
